Can i wire a guitar combo amps speaker wires together?

Question by Luke benoit: Can i wire a guitar combo amps speaker wires together?
I have a behringer gmx 210 combo amp that i`m going to build a new chassis housing for. that way i can use my 4x12 cabinet with it as a head. I know i could just use one of the speakers wiring to power the cab at 30watts 4 ohms(also i would have to build a dummy load for the other speaker for it to not fry the head.) my 4x12 cab has 4,8,16 ohm inputs so no worries there. but i want to know if i take both of the
